Pacet Kota Wisata Yang Kurang Tersentuh

2. Hari selanjutnya, adalah membuat puppet theater, sudah lama kevin ingin punya panggung boneka dan boneka kevin memang banyak cuma belum punya media buat bercerita. Karena memang sudah lama juga mama pengen bikinin puppet theater tapi belum kesampaian, akhirnya pas kebetulan sama-sama libur (hari kamis mama meliburkan diri karena diare), kita bikin deh tuh puppet theaternya. Adapun bahan yang harus disiapkan adalah:
d. Kertas karton warna-warni (bisa kertas kado, kertas krep)
e. Tempelan animal theme
f. Cat air jika suka menggambar
Cara membuat:
a. Potong bagian depan kardus, seperti membuat bingkai jendela, buang bagian belakang kardus agar kita bisa masuk dan bercerita
b. Hias dengan kertas karton/kertas kado/cat dengan cat air bagian depan kardus (bingkai)

The marriage

Yes, two weeks ago we (me and DIP colleagues) received a maroon invitation, it was no surprising that one of our colleague will get married soon, since we knew the rumor about that before the invitation arrived. Preparation was made during that time, for instance the transportation and dresses (lol). Everyone was excited including me because I planned to take my only daughter with us to Kediri, however, one day before departure I decided not to take her along.

Fyi, that was the 2nd marriage for our friend (Pak Imam) congrats sir…I think after a long and winding road, finally he found someone that can fill the empty of his heart, especially to be a good mother to his daughter and son. We are very happy to hear the news just like the couple did. So, when we went to Kediri last sunday, it full of joy and good feeling. The party was amazing even though we went through the sugar cane field in the rural area (I can’t imagine if we went there [again] at night). Everything was going well, and everyone was very happy not mentioning about hot weather and sweat were everywhere…wash up our make up though.

Back to my marriage, well I can’t say that it was celebrated in very huge party, but a very simple and humble silent ceremony (because marriage not always goes with big party), and I was surprising that this year 2010, our marriage went to the 5th year. congrats to us ūüôā

ps: too bad, we forgot to grab some pic with our beautifully dresses…

Facebook fever

‘Do you have facebook?’ my husby ask me in one day,

and I replied shortly ‘Nope’.

He asked me then,’ why you don’t have one but everybody does?’

and I said ‘why should I have one, since I still can’t find any advantages from it?’

He continued, ‘connect to facebook is lifestyle at this moment, in which everybody has facebook account’

In fact that I teach about the community informatics and community network as one of the lecture topics at class, I feel very familiar with that social networking stuff. I also have two accounts in Friendster and myspace a few times ago, but inactive at the time. There are some advantages to have account in social bookmark like facebook, friendster, myspace or whatever, where people can connect with old friends, relatives, new friends, to exchange information about their activity. I still can’t found any big problem with the social bookmark except the¬†possibility¬†of¬†personal¬†information theft or¬†eavesdropping, but until now I never¬†experience¬†such a internet crime, hopefully never ever.

so, it is not bad to have account on the social networking site, maybe I will try those thing someday..:)

Toilet tissue vs chili sauce

This is not the first time I have bad experience with public toilet, from the dirty and smelly toilet, small space toilet, bad toilet interface and instruction, or run out of toilet tissue, or spent some money for toilet tissue. I understand that public toilet that is used by many people from out of nowhere may cause those problems. I’m not such a clean freak person, but I’m still concern about the¬†cleanness¬†of the toilet. In Surabaya, I’m experiencing a very bad moment with public toilet. First, when I went to one of mall in Surabaya, and suddenly I wanna pee then I ran to the nearest toilet, I choose one toilet and closed the door then started to pee, after that, I’m a bit confused because I can’t found any toilet tissue that usually hanging on the wall. Damn, no tissue means yaiks…$%^%*…

a moment later, I ran to the toilet keeper, and I was so angry to that girl because she must be forget to fill in the toilet tissue, but I was surprise when she said that I need to talked to her if I need some toilet tissue before I entered the toilet and pay IDR.500 for the that. Then with a sulking face I left the toilet and still mumbling angrily.

My second experience with the toilet tissue is when I decided to pee in the mall’s toilet, but this time I’m aware about the toilet tissue matter and before entering the toilet I asked the toilet keeper about the toilet tissue, and thanks god she said that I need to pay IDR 500 to buy ¬†a pack of toilet tissue…fiuh… another one, you should spent 500 rupiah for toilet tissue in Surabaya public toilet, what a¬†unnecessary¬†spent, for the thing that should be free.

Another interesting experience is about chili sauce in some fast food restaurant in Melbourne. For whom like to eat spicy you should spent 50 cent for a sachet chili sauce, this is not a big deal though but a bit irritating. So every time you dine at Mcdonald, KFC, or any other fast food restaurant you should spent more money for chili sauce, something that should be free or extra when you buy their food.

Those situation, are happened in two different location, In indonesia toilet tissue is quite expensive thing and maybe public toilet cannot afford to supply a big number of toilet tissue for public, but in contrast they just give away the chili sauce for free with unlimited volume for the fast food consumer. However, In Australia, tissue toilet is one of basic needs for the people so public toilet should provides toilet tissue without any excuse, but not for chili sauce.

Battle of the Condiments

online stores

Just coincident when I wrote this topic, ¬†I have assignment about trust and online store, a project in developing online auction trust model, have class in e-commerce, web technology, and interaction design, and love shopping online. During write the assignment ( a literature review), I think it’s a good idea to spend a few minutes to write down my experience in online store.¬†

I buy some items by online either through e-store or e-marketplace, many ranges of them starting from the cheap item like ¬†toys, stickers, book, shoes, painting, and expensive like camera and notebooks. Actually I never complaint about the product and services in online store, they receive my order and deliver the item a few days later. I really pleased with apple store, where I bought a notebook there, it provides shopping simplicity, nice catalogue, friendly and responsive customer service, clear instruction, reasonable price, and very fast item delivery. Well that seem that apple develop customer’s trust through their website and the services, even though we never meet and the location is very far away, but I have no doubt to spend my money in there, and intend to go back there in the future.¬†

Another story about online store is dell store, well my hubby interested to buy another notebook in dell store because they are cheaper. we expect that they will provides good service because they already have good image and brand, so we placed an order and waiting for the confirmation. It takes one day to confirm and takes 3 days to clear the payment, and takes 2 weeks to receive the stuff. So, in total we need to wait for 18 days to receives the item. The most problem occurs for online store is item delivery, and most buyer want the item arrives quickly. Those are the example how online store conduct their business differently, some of them are aware of these issue (delivery, customer help desk), and some of them are not.

Sometimes the store tell white lie to the customer, the example is ‘when we asking when the item arrives’ and they said ‘in 3 business days’ but in fact that the item arrives more than 3 days. Some online stores also put the product in catalogue even though they don’t have the item in stock, that irritates the customer, because we always expecting the stuff is available and ready to deliver. So it is good for online store to clearly state about their product availability, maintain good relation and communication with customer.
